Technology is helping to improve the achievement gap in the 21st century classroom. Gringer (2006) discussed the use technology in education provide students with information literacy, technology literacy, life long and other necessary skills for the 21st century jobs.  Gringer (2006) emphasized using software in the classroom help students learn in a deeper way and understand information such as measuring weather temperatures. Gringer (2006) stated technology provide teachers with more time working with students in small groups and one on one. Gringer (2006) emphasized technology has allowed parents and students greater opportunities access through distance learning or virtual education. In addition, Gringer (2006) stated students who have hard time in traditional classrooms find success in setting that is virtual allowing them to work at their own pace and communicate with teacher one on one through the use of the computer. Gringer (2006) stressed technology applications can support students in real and difficult task within collaborative learning context that can support higher order thinking. Gringer (2006) stated the carefully deployment of technology can motivate and engage students’ learning. Gringer (2006) emphasized students have said when they use the Internet; they are motivated in learning and improve academically. Gringer (2006) explained that when students use technology they complete their school work quickly. Gringer (2006) stressed many other benefits for teaching and learning using technology as a tool. Some of the benefits include the following: (1) Strengthening thinking skills and understanding through creation, collaboration and exploration; (2) Maintaining accurate information and content knowledge; (3) Adapting to support students who have a specific learning need, pace or style; (4) Students engagement through multimedia and (5) Testing integration and classroom management tools allows authentic time tracking student performance to show accountability and inform instruction. Huneycutt (2014) stated when technology is integrated in lessons students are excited to learn. Hyneycutt (2014) discussed technology prepare students for the future. Also, Hyneycutt (2014) emphasized the integration of technology allow students to work at their own pace. Hyneycutt (2014) stressed when students use computers they can focus for long periods of time.

In concluding, students are able to expand their learning when it comes teachers using technology in the classroom. Students enjoy learning information when teachers use technology and they can perform well academically. Students are able to find meaning in learning when they work independently on the computer. Students are being in charge of their own learning when they independently use the computer. In addition, students are being prepared for the workforce of the 21st century when the learn skills using the computer. The reason is because technology is advancing at a faster pace in the 21st century. Teachers have to prepare students for the 21st century so they would not be behind in knowing technological skills. In addition, students are learning new information when using technology. However, teachers have to carefully deploy technology in the classroom so students are able to benefit greatly learning information. Teachers have to show students how to effectively use technology for learning. Teachers should challenge students who already know how to effectively use technology. Teachers should attend workshops, meetings and conferences to stay abreast about new technologies. Teachers should collaborate with others about learning new ideas and strategies when using technology in the classroom.

Write one paragraph and state the paragraph in this module and on your blog on the effects of constructivist intervention on pre-service teachers. Post to your blog reflecting your “Technology Point for Today.” Please state your URL here with this reflection. Answer this question in the module.

There are major effects of a constructivist intervention on pre-service. Pre-service teachers in the constructivist intervention brought to mind a reflective process. Pre-service teachers allow their students collectively and actively altered their constructs of learning and teaching forming new mental models. Pre-service teachers become confident in producing constructivist learning activities that are supported by technology and tied to the curriculum because of being in a learning environment that models and implements constructivist instructional methods. Pre-service teachers engaging in the constructive process of examining, reflection and testing allow to reexamine learning and teaching determining for themselves how technology can support learning, how teach to students and how students learn.
